Adi R. Cooper Adi Cooper has been involved with the computer and information technology industry since its inception in India After graduating from the Loughborough University of Advanced Technology, Adi played an active role in the development of India as a major international software provider and in pioneering the first software export activity from India in 1972.
He was part of the core team that formed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and was responsible for TCS's software export activities, setting up their first overseas office at London.
Then in the late 70's, Adi set up and managed Tata Burroughs Ltd. More recently, Adi was the founder of Tracmail, one of the pioneering companies in the BPO space in India. The company grew rapidly and had service delivery centers in different parts of India. Cooper divested his interest in Tracmail in 2004 and since then he has been associated with IT-People (India) Ltd. as a member of the governing body and is responsible for providing strategic input in setting up the BPO Operations at IT People India Ltd.
Pravin Gandhi Pravin Gandhi uses his extensive network of contacts and operational experience within the IT industry and venture capital community to assist in building and mentoring portfolio companies through their early stages. Pravin has over 28 years of experience in the IT industry in India. In 1971, he co-founded the Hinditron group of companies (India's first IT company), which subsequently merged with Digital Equipment Corporation in 1980. He has been on the advisory board of Connect Capital (the venture capital arm of Insight Capital in India) since 2000, and is on the Boards of several IT companies. Pravin is also an angel investor in several software and Internet companies in India. He is a past President of the Manufacturers Association of Information Technology (an IT manufacturers' association in India) and was formerly a member of the NASSCOM Executive Council.
Pravin is Founder, Director and Principal Investment Manager of Infinity Fund. He has been Advisor to Icelerate Inc. USA since 2001. He has been on the Board of Directors of Linc Software Pvt. Ltd. since 1999 and is also on the Board of Cenza India Ltd. Pravin is also Chairman, Schiller Health Care Pvt. Ltd. In addition, Pravin is on various investee company Boards as a representative of the fund. Recently he has become an Advisor to the Aavishkar Micro Venture Fund - a fund which supports rural enterprises.
Pravin has been an active member of TiE Mumbai since its inception and is involved in the mentoring program of TiE. Darshan R. Shah Darshan Shah is a Honours Graduate in Chemistry from the Bombay University and has done his Masters in Management from Pace University USA. He spent his formative years in the field of Project Engineering especially for highly confidential Defense and other Security related Establishments. He is Chairman and Managing Director of karROX Technologies Limited, a niche Training Company especially in the High End. Darshan also runs Ronuk Industries and is involved in Real Estate amongst other business activities. He has been a keen sportsman and has been involved with horses which he owns and has ridden for more than 25 years.
G. Ramachandran G. Ramachandran or GR, as he is popularly known as, is a qualified Chartered Accountant from Price Waterhouse Coopers. He has over 20 years experience in Investment Banking, Consulting, Business Processes and Organizational Development with stints in Ernst & Young, JM Morgan Stanley, Citibank, Reliance Capital and The Times of India Group, to name a few. He is currently a mentor capitalist and entrepreneur helping organizations capture the big picture and facilitate knowledge conversions to goal achievements. His role is that of a capable teacher training to fulfill the passions and aspirations of organizations and entrepreneurs in their objectives. |
